So I suppose I'll post something.
The cut is but so-so. I confess-- I flatter. It's nightmarish. Ghastly infact. It enlongates the torso, yes, and the stitching is unobtrusive, but the cut! Consider my reflection, good shopkeep, is what I asked him while posing like a society type in front of the mirror. I feel as though there is an un-needed excess of material around my arms. The figure must be presented in as flattering a manner possible. True I am a man of fashion, and my heightened sensibilities are just that, heightened, but does no one else pay notice to the poor choice of fabric? Cotton is altogether a horror, the weave of such is unbecoming. And I did go on in such fashion, critisizing to death every ill fitted garment they burdened me with. The store owner grew tired with my bitter critique, so I left promptly, not wanting to squander one more moment in such a pit.
It's a rather distressing truth that one cannot, to save his life, mention one decent tailor in this part of the city. Thus explaining the recent abundence of corpses...
...I jest, I jest! Though the persuit of a good frock coat is as justifyable a reason as any to take a man's life, no?
I'm working on a Babet/Cosette fic. That'll be posted for the challenge as soon as I finish it. ;)
